However, according to our latest WTOILs--notably WTOILs#340 & 345, Ethiopia has submitted her application to the WTO, and is awaiting her results. In yesterday's WTOIL, however, we revealed how the African Union is meeting in Ethiopia itself, which also happens to be the home of the UN's Economic Comission on Africa.[Posted: 4 Feb'03 @ 4.34pm CET] Tuesday 21 JanuaryYesterday's Impact List featured an interesting article that featured in Pakistan's DAWN newspaper. The article, culled from the UN, elaborated on how particular LDCs--notably: Bangladesh, Mali, Senegal, and Sierra Leone--out of sub-saharan Africa had paid their respective dues while the US still owes $800 million.Equally important is the information that the so-called Non-Aligned movement will be held in February in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
